Well said, stuh! I can certainly relate. Until I started listening to Trump at the debates, I was definitely not a fan. Boy, was I mistaken. Best president of my lifetime.

I have some brilliant friends. Some of whom purport to be conservatives and yet have been hostile to Trump from the beginning and still are. It boggles my mind. Are they willfully blind? Politically or values stupid? What gives?

They also happen to be afflicted with serious enough RAD (Attachment disorder) that they are exceedingly stubborn about being totally convinced that they are totally right and everyone else is wrong. There is no reasoning with them and no amount of evidence influences them to the least degree.

There's a list of things about Trump that are exceedingly positive and it is like somehow a wave of their hand makes that data disappear. Incredible. I don't know if they have been media lobotomized or what. Very curious.

I would say he is standing on the shoulders of giants, like Reagan, but he is smart enough to study their flaws and make them his strengths.

Reagan used to say, when asked how he would deal with a democrat congress, “simple, I’ll go over their heads to the American People” which he would do, via television address.

Mr. Trump goes over their heads to the American People every day of the week through his tweets. It’s an undreamed of bully pulpit that the opposition can’t handle.
