What changed, I think, is that Republican voters got so pissed off by Dems during the confirmation that polls came out that showed that Heitcamp was going to lose even if she voted for Kavanaugh. So they decided to vote No so they can continue to be involved in the Democrat party after they are civilians. Then, Feinstein yelled at Murkowski and she flipped, too. She has something on her, Q knows what because of the cell phone. Probably some corruption. So, due to those two, it was 51-49 instead of 53-47. That is, had Daine been there. Closer than expected, but still a win.
