An Indiana zoo will soon welcome a lethal addition to its animal kingdom: A black mamba snake.
The Indianapolis Zoo is adding the black mamba, which is typically found in southern and eastern Africa, in May 2019. The serpent will join the zoos Deserts Dome exhibit, which will feature the black mamba and other exotic snakes, the Associated Press reported.
The black mamba is a fast, nervous, lethally venomous, and when threatened, highly aggressive reptile, National Geographic reported, which also noted this snake is considered to be the deadliest in the world.
The black mamba, which can grow as long as 14 feet, gets its name from the black or dark blue color inside of its mouth. In addition to being lethal, these snakes are also quick: the magazine reported black mamba snakes can reach speeds of nearly 13 miles per hour.
These serpents are shy, but if cornered, black mamba snakes are known to lift as much as a third of their body off the ground, hiss and strike repeatedly, according to National Geographic. With each strike, the snake injects a large amount of venom.
Aside from the black mamba snake, the Indianapolis Zoo will also welcome the reticulated and Burmese pythons, two of the largest snake species in Asia, according to the Associated Press.

AW Gawd, you are so cruel. I get that out of my eyes now.
INDY: Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes.
SULLAH: Ah, asps. Very dangerous. You go first.
What do you do?
Rebel Soldier: Suck out the poison.
Rebel Soldier #2: Suck out - the poison.
Rebel Soldier #3: Suck out the poison.
Fielding Mellish (Woody Allen): I will not, I cannot suck anybody's leg who I am not engaged to.
Isn’t that the official mascot of the DNC?
Lol! I wouldn’t go near that stuff.
I'm sure he wasn't the first sports guy with this nickname but the first I had heard with this nickname was Roger Mayweather, Floyd's uncle. In Roger's prime, it fit him pretty well - he was fast and lethal.
A black mamba is a very dangerous snake but trained handlers can handle them and display them in a way that is not dangerous to the zoo-goers. Mambas are a dangerous snake but then so are lots of other snakes like cobras, taipans, etc. all of which are publicly-displayed around the world.
LOL. Hissy? Who's willing to find out whether it's a guy or a gal snake?
Hillary? Barack? Two names that can and do hiss both ways.
“Nothing about this reptile screams danger to me.”

I can’t see your image - my Malwarebytes anti-malware program doesn’t like something about it’s address (static.getjar.com, citing it as a “Malicious Website”). I think it’s just a false positive though, since the address checks out pretty good using Virustotal:

If he moved slowly, the snake would look up at him but make no move. If he moved rapidly, the snake would prepare to strike. It seems that the black mamba perceives all rapid motion as a death strike and reacts accordingly.
“All I know is Alice that was satisfied with me for 15 years.
Now, she wants to change me.
Norton: Well, shes got a nerve, shes got a nerve.
She knew when she married you, she was getting the worst of it.”
Now THATS funny!!
Hmm, I dunno, Avast didn’t detect anything on that image.
I had only slightly heard of a mamba before, so I did not really understand until the Assistant Defense Attache (From Louisiana) said, "think of the largest, fastest, meanest cotton mouth you have ever imagined and then realize that it can kill you with one drop."
I laughingly asked, "Then why didn't you use a hand grenade?" He replied, "We didn't have hand grenades until you guys showed up."
One small typo there...
“All I know is Alice that was satisfied with me for 15 years.
Now, she wants to change me.”
“All I know is (that) Alice was satisfied with me for 15 years. Now, she wants to change me.”
Art Carney was a very cool and funny guy. He walked with a limb due to a war injury.
Wow! Thanks for sharing that story.
