Obviously I still don’t believe that the FIB is balanced and operating fairly towards our side of the aisle. McConnell has said that Kavanaugh will be voted on this week. Sunday is not this week.

It’s just Wednesday. And they are saying that one copy has been released to the Senate.

I think it’s too late in the day for a vote today, the majority wouldn’t want to be painted as “working in the dark of night to sneak it through”. I would expect a vote tomorrow. Especially if there’s “no there there” in the FBI reports.

There is only a need of 51 votes for cloture. They can probably manage that, even if they don’t have the votes.

There needs to be time for Flake and Koswki to get over the vapors from Trump telling the truth at that rally in Mississippi. Give Mitch time, he knows what he’s doing.

McConnell can file a motion to end debate today. Then it has to ripen. Likely he does this tonight.

I still don’t believe that the FIB is balanced

FIB+FBI contains 35,000 employees. Hopefully Trump steered the investigation and report handling with the FBI portion, and kept it out of the hands of the FIB part.

Cloture has to be called for. Then there is a one day wait

Today? They won’t have any kind of vote including cloture until the Senators have had time to see the report. Given they have to go to a secure area to see it I suspect that will take a bit of time during Thursday.

My completely uninformed opinion is that the report was done earlier in the week. Then there was a lot of arguing behind the curtain about when the report would be released with the Dems demanding Friday and the Repubs wanting immediately. This feels like the compromise.

I just heard that the FBI supplemental report will be available to the Senators tomorrow. Whether there’s cloture or not, I don’t know. BUT McConnell seemed pretty sure there’d be a vote on Saturday.
