WOW !!
I bought a video of a lap on the Isle. Exhilarating!
It’s one hell of a race. Been watching it and highlights for years.. those folks are insane !!
Velocity shows the races the day after they are run in June, but sometimes reruns them. If you have DirecTV search for ‘Isle of Man’ and tell it to record it when it’s shown. Some racers have a camera pointing forward, some backwards, some showing the front of the rider and some showing his rear end. But what is hard to grasp is how fast they are going flat outover 130 mph. The helicopters can’t keep up with them.
And for a lesson in English, try and find a clip of Guy Martinyou’ll find him on YouTube...
Many teams and factories prohibit their contracted riders from racing there. So dangerous.

Sitting at the start line of a race with the roar of dozens of motors pounding through your chest, knowing you could die that day,
unless you have been there and experienced the terror and dread permeate your core.....it makes no sense at all
I have been involved in professional motorcycle road racing for 40 plus years at the National Championship level as a bike builder, tuner and sponsor. Most really high caliber riders refuse to compete on road courses such as the Isle of Mann. They prefer dedicated racing facilities that have runoff and other safety considerations because they are riding on the ragged edge and it is just not worth the risk.
Here is an example of racing on a dedicated road race course with my buddy Cory West #57. I tuned for him early in his career and his dad back in the 80s

We ER nurses call them “donor-cycles” for a reason. That said, I’m a fan of Guy Martin.
Thanks..
I saw a rider many years ago in a race there, the view was from his perspective. I was a rider for many years, he thoroughly scared me.
