She was well coached.
I didn’t buy the baby voice, but maybe I’m just a cynic. Until I see a video of her from before 2012, using this same baby voice, I will assume that was an act.
Lawyers will probably say later “it was to protect her anonymity”
Video: I did not leak Ford's letter, Feinstein says...
SEN. COTTON: Can you tell us that your staff did not leak it?
SEN. FEINSTEIN: Well, I don't believe my staff would leak it. I have not asked that question directly, but...I do not believe they would.
SEN. COTTON: Do you know that? How in the world did that get in the hands of the press?
SEN. FEINSTEIN: (at the 1:56 mark she turns to talk to her staff, then answers Sen. Cotton) The answer is no.
SEN. COTTON: Have you asked your staff? Or other staff members of the Judiciary Committee?
SEN. FEINSTEIN: The staff says that they did not.
SEN. COTTON: Or other staff members of the Judiciary Committee?
SEN. FEINSTEIN: I just did...pardon me? (turns, listening to staff member) Well, Jennifer reminds me I have asked her before about it...and that's true.
SEN. COTTON: Well, somebody leaked it, if it wasn't you.
SEN. FEINSTEIN: Well, it was, uh, I am telling you, it was not...I did not...I mean...I was asked to keep it confidential...and...and...I'm criticized for that too.
Now, I don't know about the rest of you, but from the 1:56 mark where she turns to her staffer, she stinks to high heaven of being a liar. Not just the body language and the stuttering, but the having to turn to her staffer who was smart enough to know that it was a bold-faced lie, that she had never asked her staff if they had leaked the letter, but not because she asked them, but because her staffer knew full well that it was the stupidest answer to give, that she had "not asked that question directly". Of course if she hadn't leaked it herself, she HAD to ask her staff. Otherwise, she looks completely incompetent at best, and a liar at worst.
She would be a perfect match for FBI Agent Strzok.
