I have a question about the "splashed" asset. Does the word "asset" refer to a missile or the missile and the originating launch mechanism? Was the asset ground to air, or was it fired from an aircraft? If the white hats know that it was ground to air, or ship to air, I'm assuming we've taken that launching apparatus out.
I’m hoping splashed means they threw a derp out the plane into the Atlantic from 35,000 feet.
When we say asset it’s because we don’t know exactly what it was, could have been (probably) missile, maybe aircraft, probably not ground launcher, I don’t think you would use the word splash for that. They used to or still use it as a signal for example when a pilot has shot down a plane, e.g., splash two MiGs. So you could apply it to a missile too. It also pertains to action over water, obviously, it wouldn’t make sense over land.
