Foxs Last Man Standing revival premiered on Friday night to 8 million total viewers and a 1.8 demo rating, improving greatly upon its previous premiere on ABC (6 mil/1.1) as well as its Season 6 average (6.9 mil/1.2).
In fact, LMS delivered its best rating since its Season 2 opener on ABC (which did a 2.0), and led Fox to its highest rated Premiere Week Friday in seven years and its most watched Friday in nine-and-a-half years.
Leading out of that, The Cool Kids retained 6.8 mil and a 1.5. Hells Kitchen (3.1 mil/0.9) matched its previous premiere and season average.
Over on CBS, MacGyver (5.8 mil/0.7) returned up a tenth from its May finale/series low, though down a tenth from its Season 2 average. Hawaii Five-0 (7.4 mil/0.9) was up sharply from its May finale, but off a tenth from its Season 8 average. Blue Bloods (8.7 mil/0.9) returned steady.
take THAT, rats! ping
I was going to watch Murphy Brown just to see how everyone has aged. Phone call from a buddy in the Soviet People’s State of California took precedence.
I was going to to try and watch it on Amazon, I saw the Magnum PI reboot on there and thought I could see Murphy Brown, no such luck and I am not paying to get CBS All Access. So a no go. I heard it was bad, I had no idea they would trot Hillary Clinton on, that is Lame.
CBS will probably give it a full season no matter what.
Right. New Mandy is a fail.
I watched it last night. Very good! The new Mandy will take a little getting used to, but then again, they had a different Kristin in the first season. I hope they can bring back Jay Leno as “Joe”, the mechanic. The interaction between him and Tim Allen was great on the previous episodes.
“I watched on Twitter a few days ago, and then again last night; I wanted it to help the ratings.”
I did the same. Fridays have always been a tough night for television because of high school activities, baseball pennant races, etc. But LMS will move to another day next year because WWE is coming to Fox on Friday nights.
Good show considering they had to catch up on what happened during the past 18 months, introduce the two new actors, and mock ABC in 21 minutes.
Sure would be funny if Tim Allen wrote Roseanne into his LMS show as a neighbor or something.
Any streaming means to watch previous season episodes?
Here is an article why Molly Ephraim, the original Mandy, could not resume her role.

Awesome idea.
Funny! I thought the same thing! Great minds...
I agree. The new Mandy looked like it was a lot of effort on her part to play the ditzy role of Mandy. To the old Mandy it came naturally to her.
It was on the tv here.
They got a bit preachy for me with that liberal crying about who was president and everyone fighting. The new Mandy is too different...too tall.
The Cool Kids was good. No politics, just insults with each other among the characters.
And -— we can add to its ratings by watching it anytime, online! Cheaper than buying a TIVO if you already have Internet service.
All 7 seasons are available on Hulu.
