You make it sound like XP is a thing of the past.

Turn of the century music and tech.

When it all seemed so magical and optimistic. When our machines actually belonged to us.

I’ve set up a great many PCs and laptops with Windows XP. It was light years beyond the set up process for Win98 and WinME. But, I must say, I did my first set up of Win7 last weekend. Wow. What a breeze. Not as easy as a Linux set up but waaaaay easier than the previous Windows versions.

If they would have expanded the memory capability and improved networking, that thing would still be chugging in many venues. I certainly gave it up only out of necessity.

I am of a similar stage with Win7. I certainly prefer it over Win10.

Nice!

Heard this in 2004 setting up my three home machines...Two of them are still up and running flawlessly...Something I cannot say for my Win8.1 laptop and W10 Lenovo POS...

Windows 95 had an Easter egg video of Weezer’s ‘Buddy Holly. I configured it so the video would play at startup...drove the guys in my unit nuts! Good old days...
