There were no published polls, but it was clear from the pre-election comments form both parties that the Dems were narrowly ahead.

Final result was 53/47 R, so even the campaign polling estimate of likely voters was off.

The only poll I paid attention to in 2016 was the attendance at the rallies. When I saw the turnout and enthusiasm for Donald Trump, I was quite sure that he would NOT be defeated.

Now he is going full throttle for the midterms. Rallies this Saturday, next Saturday, and three of them in between. I don’t see the dems anywhere - well maybe a 1/3 full small venue for King Obama. That’s what speaks to me.
