the yearbook EDITORS chose what went in.
That is pretty normal. I had friends who were on my High School's yearbook editorial staff - they set the tone for the yearbook.

It’s for that reason that you can’t look at the yearbook as a snapshot and then build an entire lifestyle around it.
The editors were the ones in control of the dialogue.
They chose the pictures to include (or omit)
