So anybody declaring that the statute of limitations was still in affect is either practicing disinformation or is simply ignorant.

I said that the statute of limitations had not run. I was wrong. I was looking at the current law.

Being a NON-lawyer, I forgot that the applicable law is the law in effect at the time of the alleged crime. I should have known this as my father was a lawyer and grandfather and state Supreme Court Justice. We got stupid criminal stories around the dinner table.

In my defense, I'm not as young as I was then.
