A previous leader of the Democratic party confirmed on Thursday that Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. Rickey Cole, the previous leader of the Mississippi Democrat Party, confirmed in a Facebook comment on Thursday. “Cindy was for Hillary in 2008,” Cole wrote in a Facebook comment on Thursday night. indy Hyde-Smith urged more women to run for office when asked about Hillary Clinton becoming the first woman nominated for a major political party in 2016. “We are always supporting women,” Hyde-Smith told the Clarion-Ledger. We want to promote women. I think women make great leaders. The right one would do the right job.” Cole’s revelation directly contradicts Hyde-Smith’s denial that she did not vote for either Democratic candidate in 2008.

Well Tuesday night, Trump will be one mile from where I am sitting right now. He will be campaigning for this Barbour/Bryant machine Democrat. Pass

So what. We all made mistakes in our past.

Is she on board now to support President's Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court?

McDaniel is running as an independent conservative.

MS does have a better choice.

I can see the republican and the independent splitting the vote and putting a democrat in office.

Alabama and Mississippi, two strong red states, may both have democrats in the senate. How do republicans keep screwing things up?

The GOP insists on very conservative states having Cheap Labor Express stooges for their Senators.

I voted for Hillary in the 2008 dem primary: Do you really think I would’ve voted for Obama?

Note: I live in a leftist county and the democratic primary IS the election for local offices as the republican candidates have no chance in November. Ohio allows people to switch back and forth at will: I vote in the republican primary when I have a reason to do so.

That’s not how it works. You’ve been listening to entirely too much RINO propaganda.

There are no primaries for special elections in Mississippi. Instead, this special election to replace Cochran will be held in November as a NONPARTISAN (i.e., the candidates won’t have a “R” or a “D” next to their names on the ballot). On the ballot will be two Democrat candidates plus Hyde-Smith (the former Democrat now turned Republican) and McDaniel (the conservative Republican). If no candidate gets a majority of the vote (and they won’t) then there will be a nonpartisan runoff later in November of the top two vote-getting candidates.

Realistically, Espy (the “main” Democrat) will be in that runoff along with EITHER Hyde-Smith or McDaniel. So THERE WILL BE NO VOTE SPLITTING BETWEEN REPUBLICANS IN THE RUNOFF.

McDaniel is by far the best Republican candidate in the race.

So, what? So did I. By the time the voting got to Georgia, McCain had already sewn up the nomination and Hillary was the lesser of two evil, by far. (And, WOW, is that saying something bad about Obama.) I certainly wouldn’t hold it against Senator Hyde-Smith; she probably had the same idea that I did.

One relevant item here is that this person, Cindy Hyde-Smith, is endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce-the Cheap Labor Express.

If the McConnell Crew had stood up for Roy Moore when the false accusations were rolled out against Moore, they wouldn’t be having to deal with the character assassination of Brett Kavanaugh now underway.

Nothing like sitting it out to make a positive difference. Trump does what he needs to do to increase the odds of passing his agenda....but he also fights the petty and childish Chuck Schumer types we have on our side of the aisle.........

bulls*t. first of all, trump didn’t even support moore in the primary. everyone knew he was a bleeder. so, quit reflexively blaming stupid mitch mcconnell for you failures. second, if you people hadn’t thrown away the seat in AL, then traitorous jeff flake’s vote wouldn’t be so critical.

if BK goes down, a good part of the fault lies with YOU.
