So, Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops werent in BOSTON on July 4th 1976! Whoda thunkit...
I was working 4-12 as a field teletypewriter repairman in lower Manhattan in 76, so I was constantly walking around town. I don't know how to describe the "atmosphere" in the City that summer except to say that "it just felt good."
Never felt that way about the City before or since and I was there 57 years, born and raised.
