Where is the original pic from?
To me it looks like something closer to the camera. The audience is blurry, but the hat is much sharper and the gray circle sharpness is much closer to that of the hat.
On the VIP’s Twitter page, the image is clearer. It’s a metal railing attached to the stairs leading to the podium. Two long parallel bars with ends that are semicircular. In the overall shape of a Popsicle stick.
