Now you’ve gone and done it!!!
Those were the final words on a novelty 45 rpm in the mid-1950s, that had supposed reporters interviewing people regarding flying saucers and the little beings in them.
The record pieced together short clips from many other recorded songs to provide a narrative. We early-mid teens memorized all the words and songs and would sing along.
Now, I can’t think of the name of the record and Google didn’t help. Maybe my subconcious will solve the problem when I sleep.
Sorry, that tends to happen when I’m around.
I remember those novelty mash-up songs!
The narrator would make a statement or ask a queston and then use a song snippet to respond/answer.
We used to make our own when we got our first cassette tape recorder.
Wow, if you remember those songs then you are OOOLLLLDDD!!!! (lol)
The actual song — I think — was “Good night Sweetheart” which Sha Na Na used to end their show with.
Meaningless Note (which is de riguer here on the UT): I saw an interview with Bowser in a Reelz show about “Grease” the other say so I guess he is still kicking around.
