Same thing here, I dumped Safari and went to Firefox. I think I found the problem. Go to the Safari Menu/Settings for this website. . . and turn on "Enable Content Blockers"
That made a lot of the ads disappear.
Check and make sure your extensions for ad blocking are still turned on in Safari/preferences/extensions. Mine was turned off.
