Paul McCartney achieves his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in over 36 years, as his new studio effort, Egypt Station, bows atop the list. The set, which was released on Sept. 7 via MPL/Capitol Records, launches with a larger-than-expected 153,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Sept. 13 according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 147,000 were in traditional album sales. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Sept. 22-dated chart, where Egypt Station debuts at No. 1, will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, Sept. 18...

Was it the asshole dipshits anti Trump song that pushed him over the top?
Go, Paul! Still the cute Beatle.
Eminem?!?!?! Really. Isn’t it silly for someone over 40 to still be doing rap? (Not that it isn’t silly for someone in their 20s, neither)
I’m sorry but WHO REALLY GIVES A SH!T, McCartney or EnemaAnn!!!
***NSFW***
Yuck!
Macca placing his fingers on the vinyl is a HUGE NO-NO!
Yeah, especially when that particular 45 y/o is worth over $190.MILLION Dollars. It’s hard to be ‘down wit da cauzz’ when you can not just buy your groceries, but in many cases, buy the companies that manufacture those groceries.
Oh, the problems of extreme wealth!
Story on McC’s anti-Trump song.
The album is beyond awful even before considering the political commentary. McCartney has the hype machine working full-speed on this mess. If this album had been produced by anybody whose name is not Paul McCartney it would not have seen the light of day.
One of the funniest things ever.
Weird Al Yankovic “Interviews” Eminem.

Too bad his politics are in the toilet.
That is funny! The late singer Prince always refused to give Weird Al permission to satirize his songs. Al says he met Prince in person once while sitting in an audience.
Prince turned to Al and said “You steal people’s souls!!”, he then got up from his seat and left the theater with his entourage.
Looked up the cost of tickets to his upcoming tour...$800 +.
For that price, he better produce John Lennon.
Beatles were way overrated. George and Ringo were the only real musicians in that group.
Its a great sounding record. One of his best!
Three listenable tracks, one of which has been pumped as a pop single, which admittedly is the best of the album. What a shame, as he had the opportunity to bring back some of the story telling album formulas into the modern era and instead, well, if you come on to him, he might come on to you...
Not really the best of legacies.
Why is he called Macca? Short for McCartney?
That’s okay....I’ll take it that Eleanor Rigby is now about HELLary.
