You are exactly right. So, what gives Murkowski more cover to vote for Kananaugh, attacking the accuser as a liar (even though she passed a lie detector, and recounted the story in 2012), or saying high school antics aren't worth considering. People here are super anxious to push the liar angle, and it is gonna backfire.

Sow enough doubt about a hazy, ancient story...and promise a few perks for a yes vote.
