Ohio billionaire and longtime Republican donor Les Wexner says he is officially done with the party, and was prompted to leave after former President Barack Obama visited the state.
Wexner, the CEO of retail conglomerate L Brands, which owns Victorias Secret and Bath & Body Works, announced at a leadership summit in Columbus on Thursday that he wont support this nonsense in the Republican Party anymore, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
The announcement, made at a panel discussion, came the same day Obama visited Columbus before heading to a rally in Cleveland to support Democrat Richard Cordrays run for governor.
I was struck by the genuineness of the man; his candor, humility and empathy for others, Wexner said of Obama.

Exactly. He’s a phony self centered narcissist!
Another falls to the cosmic awesomeness of The One.
Well, there is that part of it. I suppose I should have put “rhetorical” in there someplace.
My guess is that it has something to do with importing cheap labor and driving down wages (Just a guess)
Well, that Epstein affiliation explains his love for a lefty, like 0.
Here’s what he’s really saying, “President Trump is serious about shutting off the cheap labor pipeline from the third world and Ryan & McConnell have failed to earn their pay to stop him. It’s time to give money to the Democrats to flip Congress to keep the flow of cheap labor going, after all immigrants will work for the wages that Americans won’t work for!”
My guess is that he had a nice run, is running out of money and now currying favor with the left to save whats left of L Brands.
Cue the Curly Bill “Well ... Bye” meme.
It’s unusual for a CEO to be such a bad judge of character.
Sounds like he has some really strong political convictions. Uh-huh. Id be more likely to smack the crap out of Barry than let him utter a sound in my physical presence. The man is a lying turd. Makes my skin crawl.
I’m guessing blackmail, but that’s just cause I expect nothing less from the ‘Rats.
2) This is an old guy with a young wife. That often affects the old guy's opinions.
3) It's likely that Les Wexner disagrees with Trump about the issues, and this meeting was only the occasion for his publicly expressing his disagreement. It's also likely that Wexner been courted by other Democrats and liberals who recognized his growing unease with the GOP.
4) People are complicated. They show different sides of themselves to different people. Their behavior doesn't always reflect the diagnoses we make of them. Those who meet public figures don't see the public face.
That is why so many people spoke about Bill Clinton's "charm." He wouldn't have gotten as far as he did if he didn't have a gift for winning over people - something that he could turn on when he needed to.
Obama's talents in that department are less, but apparently not negligible. And it certainly matters whether the person he's talking to is well-disposed towards him to begin with or not.
People who get their impressions of politicians from Internet sites can also get a one-sided and skewed view of what they are like, one that doesn't reflect all their dimensions or what they can be capable of on occasion.
His family need to check into his sanity.
Candor, humility , empathy... Whew! Give me a break!
And his vulnerability.
The less the GOP is dependent on open border/ free traders the better...
The money men on both sides have sold this country down the tubes to line their own pockets for the past 4 decades...
Why do you think, not one Republican candidate besides Trump would even talk about immigration or trade? Because they didnt want to risk offending their backers.
The very best Bra I ever had was one from victoria’s Secret.
Won’t be buying another one, tho, after reading this.
I had no idea a teleprompter could convey so many emotions. /s
You were always a fraud Les (AKA a RINO). Now you’re irrelevant to boot.
If he’s such a big donor, why isn’t he in the FEC database..
It is sad how some elderly seem to lose the ability to know a scam when they see one. This is obviously the case with Wexner.
