It was 28483 for 2016.

Yep - the huge majority of the post-even deaths can be directly attributed to the corrupt and incompetent government of PR - there was an amazing difference in how things were handled in New Orleans and along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and leadership played a big part of it - plus, The MS Gulf Coast had a lot more conservatives who believed in personal responsibility and hard work as a way to overcome the problems.
