I was talking to the manager of a Goodyear tire store and he said a lady came in and asked how much to change a headlight bulb in a 3006 Cadillac. He looked it up and told her $1000. She said another shop had tole her the same. Seems you have to take off a lot of the front end to get to the light to change it.
While we’re on the subject: Someone told me new Ford f350s require the cab removed at a few grand for the removal alone, before they can be worked on. Anyone hear this?
I sold my 2006 CTS caddie when they quoted a price of 3400 to change the timing belt.. a recommended 100k service. and 600 to change the plugs. . todays cars are a pita to fix. maybe the headlight for the prius was a pita.. where dod they get the tools?
2006 cadillac headlight The front bumper has to be removed , the HID bulb was $125. the guy on youtube did it in 12-1/2 minutes... thats $1000 for 12-1/2 minutes work - $125 for parts. so thats $875 for 13 minutes work or over $4300 dollars an hour for a cadillac mechanic. nice work if you can get it!! /s
