He really only takes one puff off the joint and hands it back. Says he never smokes pot. And has a lot of positive comments to say, despite the host trying to bait him with negative comments.

We burn fossil fuels because it’s economical, and all natural.
Other than that, this is old news.

I own a movie called “The 13th Floor” that addresses this. It’s a great story.

He says he rarely smokes it because it’s anti-productive and he likes to be productive and get things done. Overall a positive message, and certainly a lot better than some of what’s been said here on FR.

Windmills and solar electric or heating systems that can never break even are quite dumb also.

Far out man! Like, don't bogart that joint, dude. Like we are living in a simulation. But like the people running the simulation are themselves in a simulation, and it just like keeps going like that forever. Wow, it blows my mind! Pass the doritos, I'm getting some gnarly munchies, bro.

Yeah, he said something like that in the interview.

“Well, he has a point!”
No, it’s a joint!

Don’t give interviews in which you are consuming adult beverages and toking. It destroys your credibility in a way that sober refutation never could.
The optics were extremely bad.

Well,he has a
point joint!
I agree with him in that humans and AI have already merged. And it won't end well. No arguing that point.
But his comment on coal is asinine.

Another great Matrix clone is Polish/Japanese movie “Avalon”, available on Amazon.
By the way, there are several movies called “Avalon”. I am talking about the one directed by Mamoru Oshii.

Once that happens, it would only be a matter of time before they set up their own fake multiverses.![](https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gannett-cdn.com%2F-mm-%2Fa660a141b2f20b8f0fd2de87cab0efb00736636d%2Fc%3D0-113-4096-2427%26r%3Dx1683%26c%3D3200x1680%2Flocal%2F-%2Fmedia%2F2017%2F01%2F11%2FUSATODAY%2FUSATODAY%2F636197362662608531-EPA-USA-NEW-YORK-TRUMP-PRESS-CONFERENCE-87897348.JPG&f=1)

Very bad optics for someone employed or influential in a publicly-held company.
But not bad optics for a guy who believes he is brilliant and creative enough to offset this stunt by his continued output of new ideas...and then delivers on that.
I think he needs to be removed as CEO of Tesla and replaced by a professional manager. He needs to be moved into a creative, product development position.
To: re_tail20
The logic is that because we can conceive of simulations, we probably are living in one? Not convincing.
Except in the sense God is running the simulation.
