To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

We don’t have a go bag but at any time we could probably eat for at least 2 weeks on what is in the house. May not be what we want but we wouldn’t get hungry. I don’t understand people who have nothing in their homes. Maybe because my grandmother and mother was like me. Always had food on hand.

When wintertime comes in NYS, I always have plenty of edibles.

What I wish is that we had gas stoves instead of dumb electric.

Last year, we had rec center opened. It was great.

Flourescent lantern and portable radio can help you get through the deafening silence of no electricity.

Same hear. My husband calls me a food hoarder but in case of an emergency we’re loaded with non-perishables. He’s a big soup fan so I always have at least 2 dozen cans in the pantry.

I know people for whom daily food purchasing (no food on hand) is actually a diet plan. They have no (or believe they have no) self-control and would binge eat whatever is in the house mindlessly while watching TV or surfing the net.
