Attila was a master general, whereas you're just an armchair QB. I'm highly doubtful the Hun would do anything along the lines you're advocating, simply because he would most likely follow an approach similar to the one another strategic mastermind - one Pres Donald J Trump - is currently taking.
Ask yourself this simple question: why is the press still there? In reality, there are only two viable answers:
1. Trump's not in control: he cannot get rid of the press without significant political cost; or
2. Trump is in control: he can easily get rid of the roaches, but prefers the situation as it stands. (That is, allowing them to continuously discredit themselves and destroy their credibility.)
If you have some insight to a 3rd option, please share it. I happen to believe that Trump is fully control of all facets of these wartime operations, and those press maggots are in the WH because he wants them there.
