Summary:
While Robert Mueller’s very dear close friend, James Comey was serving as DAG, he convinced AG John Ashcroft to recuse himself from the Plame investigation.
Then FBI Director Mueller, Comey, and Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald had COMPLETE CONTROL to do as they pleased. They railroaded Scooter Libby, who refused to cooperate. Twice, Fitzgerald offered to drop all charges against Libby if he would “deliver Cheney” to him, but there was nothing to deliver.
These guys are corrupt as hell.
I don’t know if that proves anything. At the time, I was totally in the Bush/Cheney/Libby camp.
Now I believe that Cheney was DS, that Bush was either DS or controlled by them. I have no strong opinion on Libby - other than to believe he was corruptly railroaded at the time, but the fact that Bush didn’t pardon him makes me inclined to think Libby was a white hat.
