And please, Lord, protect those first responders who put themselves in the path of danger for the sake of others. My daughter-in-law is National Park Service law enforcement in Mississippi. She’s leaving tomorrow for North Carolina for disaster relief duty. Prayers up - she’s a mom of two, ages 5 and 2. Tough as nails, but not invincible.
