What stations do you have videos of?

Sometimes I watched Fox, sometimes CNN, sometimes MSNBC, sometimes mixed. I usually tried to ID the station on the tape description on the playlist.

And there’s a separate playlist for 26 Gulf War videos.

I haven’t watched TV in years, and I’m not setup to record anything anymore, so it’s just what I kept of labeled tapes from decades ago. I threw out giant garbage bags filled with recorded tapes I never labeled. I worked in NY and lived in MA, and am such a video packrat that it’s taken weeks of throwing out long rows of bags of videotapes to clear out most of what I had. And I STILL have boxes to deal with. The book situation in the house is even worse. I collect American history, as original as possible, and have a 42’ hallway of bookshelves floor to ceiling on both sides, a 10’ high library, 8 bookshelves in one room, another 2 elsewhere, and STILL the books fill boxes in the closet. My nieces have no interest and I still try to figure out what I’ll do with it all. And ephemera!!!! Some of my favorites are a ticket to the Lincoln Assassination Trial and a Brady photo of my 2nd great uncle capturing the first Confederate cannon. Sorting is clearly in my future. I hope.

Castro Valley Man Assaults Republican Congressional Candidate With Switchblade

On Sunday, September 9, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Alameda County Sheriff’s Office deputies working at the Castro Valley Fall Festival were alerted to a possible knife attack at one of the vendor booths.

Deputies arrived at the booth and made contact with the victim, Republican candidate Peters, who is running against current Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell for a local congressional seat.

According to witnesses, 35-year-old Castro Valley resident Farzad Fazeli approached Peters at his booth in an aggressive manner and made disparaging, profanity-laced remarks about the Republican party and President Donald Trump.

~~~~~ Peters was not seriously injured, the knife malfunctioned and the suspect was arrested. Swallwell made a statement that violence is never okay.
Oh, and the advantage of my videos over others that might be out there is that I put the work into editing out all the commercials and the sections on other news. So these are solid red meat.
Back when I collected interviews with famous computer people I couldn’t figure out how my company let the original interviews be destroyed. I tried so hard to save them and failed. All that still exist are my window dubs and, when I put those up on the channel, I did the work of editing out all the interview subjects’ embarrassing statements. That’s when I figured out why the company let those originals be destroyed. People just won’t do the work to remove stuff and they were trying to protect those people from themselves.
