In Darke County Ohio, there is a sinkhole north of Greenville on St. Rte. 49 at the RR crossing. A quarter mile east is a farm where prehistoric digs have quietly taken place for 40 years or more.

Would be great to own the property, both in terms of potential profit and simple interest.

We just have a 50’ x 175’ lot, with our small house on it, but I would love to dig a pit in the back yard, just to see if there’s anything there. My husband nixed the idea, though. We live in Indian country, and he’s an Indian, and they don’t think too kindly of digging around looking for artifacts -— might accidentally upset a burial plot.

The only problem is that You would lose it all to a .gov entity as being a Historical Site.

And You would get nothing.

Well maybe a fine for having a house on the land.
