And yet Leahy started this same rant again today. I hope that someone covers Lindsey Graham’s brilliant handling of this absurdity. And the rest of Lindsey’s questioning moves him to a level I’d never have believed. So very well done. (Did McCain’s death liberate him?)

Sen. Graham did a fine job yesterday. Sen. Leahy is freakin’ senile.

I really did like LG’s lecturing the dems, that if they wanted to pick judges, they needed to win elections.

Speaking of aging Democrats, why doesn’t someone take Durbin to task for making false statements against Trump? He just made the comment that Trump was an “unindicted co-conspirator” and the “subject of a criminal investigation”. Both of these statements are wrong and he should be admonished for saying it.

When are we going to have someone grow a set and put the a$$clown Democrats in their place? Everyone worries about a “blue wave” and yet we never stand up for anything we supposedly believe in.

Screw the gentlmanly conduct of the Senate. The Dems play hard-ball, when the Hell are we going to start?

When my dear Father was at the end of his life and having dementia, he thought a repairman we had in the house a few days earlier had stolen some pairs of his socks. Not money, nor his credit card, or the TV - but socks.

He was quite convinced of it, and brought it up for several weeks.

Leahy has earned his nick name of “Leaky Leahy” over the years. Now he’s so senile, he can’t remember what he leaked and thinks it was “stolen” from him…unbelievable. How can anyone vote Democrat after watching that bunch of preening idiots at these hearings?

I watched part of the clip. He’s either heavily medicated, or having suffering from hallucinations. He’s supposed to be there until 2022. I think after this November....his state folks ought to find some way to convince him to retire.

I have spent very little time with these hearings, but it seems that the strategy with the democrats is to throw out a question with no substance whatsoever in hopes that Kauvanaugh will respond in such a fashion that will grant it substance. As in Harris’s “be careful how you answer” warning, to try to make him think she is holding a trump card. So far, Kavanaugh has spotted the deception.

No he is up for election in 2020 and know he PDJT to win. Graham if reelected will go back to being a pain in neck. Remember McCain used DJT for votes as well then stab him bach over and over. Graham is no different.

As a perspective Supreme Court Judge I would ask the Senator what action he took when he realized that the e-mail in question was stolen?

I posted about this yesterday.

Leahy is still obsessing over the so-called "Memogate" incident when Orrin Hatch's aide Manuel Miranda found a Democrat strategy memo written by Jay Rockefeller on the shared-access server for the Senate Select Intelligence Committee.

See these links for details:

Text of Rockefeller memo.

Memogate Timeline.

In short, this incident was about Democrats on the supposedly non-political Senate Intelligence Committee strategized to use minority powers on the committee to force nuisance investigations into President Bush, until such time as there was no more value to be gotten from working with Republicans, and then the Democrats would "pull the trigger" and issue minority reports.

Republicans had Democrat Jay Rockefeller on the ropes, but Hatch's cowardice let Rockefeller wiggle out of it by accusing Hatch's aide Miranda of "breaking into" the Democrat computer, when it was a shared committee computer that Rockefeller used to store his "pull the trigger" strategy memo against President Bush.

Because of Hatch's weakness back then when he fired Miranda, Democrats changed the narrative from their politicization of the Intelligence Committee to a Republican committee staffer "hacking" their server and "stealing" their memos. Democrats today are still calling it "stealing" documents that were openly available on a committee shared computer.

I personally see this as the turning point in modern Republican-Democrat power relations. Republicans blinked, Hatch chickened out and fired his aide, and Democrats ever since have learned that they can cause a stink and Republicans will back down.

This is the incident that "broke" the Republicans will to use power.

Patrick Leahy: “Did you steal my lime green Jello 16 years ago that was being served at the Happy Idiots Nursing Home? Because I really like lime green Jello and this time they had those sliced up carrots, which I really, really like, in it.

“Somebody stole my Jello.”

I went over to DUmmieland to see what they have been saying about this whole situation.

Here’s the headline for the thread they are all back slapping and high fiving each other over.

*BAM! Sen. Leahy is just now showing that Kavanaugh perjured himself in denying he had received stolen, hacked Democratic emails back in the 2000s.*

The delusion is incredible over there.

Is Leaky taking dementia meds? Ask the pharmacist. Or is he showing signs of a brain tumor?

Sheesh.

Kavanaugh gets a gold star for handling him without laughing.

There are some who oppose term limits and any change in the length of terms because of over 200 years of precedent. The founders made it that way and it’s been part of our heritage.

But, so was slavery, and we managed to change that!
