I believe that POTUS’ team already knows the source. There are many ways including the NSA being able to trace the msg back from the NYT to the source etc. etc. etc. And as to ID, writing clues might yield some info. But I think the NSA probably has it already as an open and shut case to ID the guilty.
I’ve actually had that run through my mind too, Jocko Manning. I certainly do hope it is the case!
