Norway’s Nobel Institute said Wednesday it had no intention of withdrawing its Peace Prize from Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi after a damning UN report termed the treatment of the Rohingya people as “genocide.”

“There is no question of the Nobel Committee withdrawing the peace prize,” director Olav Njolstad said. “The rules of the Nobel Peace Prize do not allow it,” he added.

A UN probe released Monday detailed evidence of genocide and crimes against humanity “perpetrated on a massive scale” against the Rohingya, including acts of rape, sexual violence and mass killings.

At a UN Security Council session on Tuesday, a number of countries — including the United States, Britain, France and Sweden — called for Myanmar’s military leaders to be held accountable. …

The UN is pretty much on the side of global jihad. What it says happened there is probably not to be believed.

This must be the reason b o still has his undeserved nobel.

The Nobel Peace Prize is more of a joke than anything I’ve heard on night time television in years.

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi is a socialist.

Muslims - the only large religious group who can manage to piss off people of a widely recognized true religion of peace, Buddhists, so badly they drive the Muslims out of their country.

No, she’s not. She’s been at odds with the socialist military junta for many years.

“Aung San Suu Kyi”

Has Bono and far leftist Edge apologized yet? The No line on the Horizon Tour featured the song Walk On. Where rubes from the crowd came out on stage with printed Aung San Suu Kyi faces on a stick that they held up to their faces.

She’s been at odds with the socialist military junta for many years.

Doesn’t necessarily mean she is not a socialist.

She may be a democratic socialist while the military junta was an authoritarian socialist.

Well, what do you expect from the ‘great minds’ who slobbered all over the likes of B Hussein Obama?

All socialists are authoritarian. They like to increase democracy to increase mob rule and tyranny of majority.

JFTR, Suu Kyi does belong to the social-democratic National League for Democracy party, which is a member of the Socialist International.

As for Obama, he butted into the 2010 Burmese elections, which the NLD boycotted, describing them as “stolen”.

The Rohingya are genocidal muslims.

They didn’t expect that Myanmar infidels would kill the hell out of them if they started slaughtering the local constabulary. Aung San Suu Kyi showed the jihadis that Buddhist pacifism isn’t as absolute as they anticipated.

Perhaps Norway has had enough of Islam.

That means your idea of comedy is more discerning than “Trump dumb” “Trump racist”.

The Nobel prize when it comes to politics, goes out of its way to award the most corrupt and incompetent. Arafat won it for peace. Obama won it for being black and starting wars all over the place. The only people that are never considered are people that actually accomplish something. Reagan and Trump, no way in hell

Maybe, maybe not.

Mostly, she just doesn't like Rohingya, a group of Muslims so loathsome that even Buddhists want to kill them.

Her views are largely mirrored by the vast majority of Myanmar's population.
