I love that channel. Ive wanted to make the creme fraise, but its hard to find the unpasteurized cream. You have to get organic, and even then its ultra pasteurized any more.
I guess around here if I wanted unpasteurized anything, I’d make friends with a dairy farmer. Are there many Amish in Michigan?
In CA you can get Organic Pastures raw cream. Its pricy. I made ice cream with it (combining with raw milk to cheapen it up slightly). Its delicious. My daughter cant digest pasteurized milk and ice cream (neither can I but I dont try) so I wanted to try raw ice cream. Its not really raw any more if you make the custard.
If you have any Amish farmers within driveable distance, you can get their straight-from-the-cow milk.
