...just more of the same anti-American crap....
The late Neil Armstrongs 1969 trip to the moon may have been one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind, but it was also a massive achievement for the United States.
One of Armstrongs first orders of business was to proudly plant the American flag, after all.
But Ryan Gosling, the Canadian actor who plays Armstrong in First Man, Hollywoods rendition of the moon landing, told the Telegraph the magic moment was intentionally omitted from the big screen because Armstrongs achievement transcended countries and borders.

The only country in the world that doesn't use the metric system is the one that put a man on the moon.
The last movie I saw in theatre was The Last Jedi. It may be the last I ever see in theatre. The leftist culture of the entertainment industry has pretty much killed me giving them anymore patronage. It is now becoming almost the full spectrum of entertainments. I stopped watching any network tv a few years ago. Plays, concerts are pretty much in the same dustbin. I still listen to songs I have on my iPhone and that numbers around six thousand pieces. I am planning to cull a good percentage however. It no longer matters if I have any interest or if it is any good or bad or whatever. Its all dead to me.
I
It did? How many other nations built the rockets that lifted the Apollo payload? How many other nations developed the guidance system and the computer technology and the materials and the logistics and the countless supporting industries that made this possible? How many other nations trained Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, and Michael Collins? Plus all the other astronauts and technicians and ground personnel?
Answer? None. So exactly why is it that America should share in this quintessential American triumph?
Answer? They shouldn't. It is ours and ours alone.
“I refuse to give my patriotic United States dollars to this movie.”
Same goes for me and my family.
I think I saw that one when it was being assembled at Cape Kennedy in 1972.
I guess he doesn’t believe Buzz Aldrin.

I watched Armstrong walk out of the LEM and plant the US Flag on the Moon while a hundred other ENS and 2LTs crowded into the TV room at the NAS North Island BOQ. Breathtaking.
I’m proud to been one of them. Worked on Apollo 7,8,9,10,11, and 12.
Agreed, I never get tired of his movies. The first one I remember seeing in the theater was Dog Day Afternoon. The scene where he gets the crowd to yell “Attica” repeatedly was improvised. And after seeing him as I noted earlier, I really respect his dedication to the art of theater and film.
Thanks George Noory
Did they change it to “one giant leap for peoplekind?”
I waNotes to take the wife and kids to go see this, not anymore. They can take this in-American bullshit and shoved it up their ass.
Thank you!
I suppose it could have been worse, they could have showed him planting a UN Flag, instead.
Okay then, I am “omitting” myself from paying to see this film - which I otherwise would have.
That’s either Apollo 4 or 6. They are the only Saturn V’s that had 8 ullage motors on the S-1C/S-II interstage. That aside, it shows one of the highest peace time achievements this country has ever made. I miss those days.
