Denver mom says her 9-year-old son died by suicide in their home on Thursday after experiencing bullying in school. She is now sharing the story in hopes of shining a light on bullying and suicide, KDVR reports.
Leia Pierce says bullying was a factor in the death of her son, Jamel Myles, who started fourth grade just last week. Over the summer, Jamel came out to his mother as gay, she said. "(H)e looked so scared when he told me. He was like, 'Mom I'm gay.' And I thought he was playing, so I looked back because I was driving, and he was all curled up, so scared. And I said, I still love you," Pierce told the station.
Jamel wanted to tell his classmates at Joe Shoemaker Elementary School. "He went to school and said he was going tell people he's gay because he's proud of himself," the mother said.
She said when her son came out, he also opened up about wanting to dress more femininely. Pierce said her son told her, "I know you buy me boy stuff because I'm a boy, but I'd rather dress like a girl."
Just four days after starting school last week and coming out to his classmates, Jamel took his own life. Pierce told KDVR that bullying was a factor.
"Four days is all it took at school. I could just imagine what they said to him," Pierce said. "My son told my oldest daughter the kids at school to

God rest his soul. This innocent child is the victim of all the pro-gay lies he heard on liberal newscasts. Mainstream media should hang their heads in shame.
Young and confused. Sympathy yes; understanding yes; condem the bullying, yes; but, in my view, some of what the kid was dealing with has been delivered and created by an agenda and the media’s selling of that agenda - the whole LBG & Trans agenda.
Why wouldn’t any number of more kids be “confused” today, when they are being fed daily the idea that “being confused about your gender” is normal and O.K. That just helps troubled kids blow minor things in their heads into major ones - it creates questioning where questioning would either not have been, or would have been dismissed before.
There is one popular children’s book that actually promotes suicide.

Above is link to another story on this..note the pic where the mom is wearing a leftist activist shirt.
As I said, this needs to be looked at more closely
That’s a very sad story, but the Mom should have thought ahead. Somethings still haven’t changed about most children when they are the one’s making the rules. The ‘penalty’ or negative consequence for cross dressing is still much, much more negative and severe when it’s a boy deciding to dress like a girl.
Women and girls dress in men’s clothing a lot of the time, nobody bats an eye. Girls will wear a black and white tux to the prom. People think it’s ‘cute’. If there was a Dad figure in this boy’s life, I suspect he would have vetoed that ‘wearing girls clothes to school’ idea.
This idea was probably put into the student’s minds way back in First and Second Grade. There are so many subtle ways to sneak this propaganda into the school systems without having to ask parents about it.
Not that it matters at all, but when I saw the name Jamal, I expected the boy would be Black. I guessed wrong.
Maybe those “Urban” names are now mainstreamed.
That is one of those things that isn't always mentioned in news articles about people who aren't famous.
Hell, I suppose I was "gay" at nine years old as well, if you consider gay as, I thought girls were icky and disgusting and wanted nothing to do with them and wanted to spend my time with by male pals. Of course it was nothing sexual whatsoever, I didn't even know what my d*** was for at that age. Of course a few years later I decided girls weren't as worthless as I originally thought.
The problem is, our society is so sexualized, we've convinced 9 year old boys that if they think girls are icky at that age, that means they are gay and have to "come out".
He was probably told he was gay by monsters at school. At the pool one evening last week, a boy was calling my 9-year-old son “gay.” “Stay away from him: he’s gay!” Total strangers.
Despite all the social engineering, people's instinct is always going to be to not be agreeable with homosexuality.
See my link post 24. In the pic in the article he definitely looks like dad is black
If you’re saying that, even without knowing what it means, young children assimilate the idea that “gay” is an insult, I agree.
I’ve seen it many times with my own eyes. People who act publicly like they are tolerant of guys and chastise “homophobes”, privately talk about how disgusting homosexuals are.
I doubt his home life was normal.
That is a pretty brutal assessment. I think it is probably right on the money as well.
Why not its one of the few things they do teach in public schools
“I’m a Boy I’m a Boy, but my ma won’t admit it...”
A 9 year old would NOT know if he is gay..that is something the mother planted into his head..
The shirt the mom is wearing that I linked to in post 24 says in full:
“Love is Love”
“Black Lives Matter”
“Climate Change is Real”
“Immigrants Make America Great”
“Womens Rights are Human Rights”
The pic was taken while her son was alive obviously as he is in the pic. She is a leftist antiTrump activist. My guess is she pushed the gay angle on him. Worst case is she either had a hand in his death and/or is using it to promote her worldview. We know of many of these leftist hoaxes. This could be one with a bad case of Munchausen thrown in.
I college I took a child psychology class. I remember the prof. talking about different stages in child development. One he called the homosexual phase. He explained it as a stage where boys or girls will want to be with other kids of the same sex. And the example was kids on a playground. Boys will be playing with boys, and girls with girls. Most kids grow out of this around puberty. I remember it well, girls have cooties.
