Tourist who took pebbles from Cornwall beach is forced to travel hundreds of miles to bring them back or face £1,000 fine.

There's nothing like taking a pebble home from the beach to remind you of those holiday good times. But beware where you pick them up from – one man who took some from a Cornish beauty spot found himself being hunted down by officials who demanded them back. The case emerged after complaints that beach visitors are being 'aggressively' threatened with prosecution for taking stones home from Crackington Haven.

That’s a funny and good question.

Perhaps he snuck down to another shore and scooped up more pebbles.

One reason I am a fan of going to Puerto Rico over other Caribbean locales is that technically it is part of the US and I don’t have to go through customs upon returning.

Last time I went I brought a buttload of cool shells and coral back and no one was the wiser.

I also mailed myself lots of really neat plants that I then planted in my yard, some of which are still living, including that damned cactus I wish would die.

But yeah, that may be the only redeeming quality of PR.

>>No, “Madam Pele,” goddess of the volcano curses the cooled, hardened lava if you remove it from “The big island.” My uncle taught us that, he worked at the observatory most of his adult life.<<

Still better than signs and fines.

They should sue the Sun and the Moon, which impact the tides causing rocks to move around.

Sure, why not sue God, too, since he made the whole ecosystem.
