I have had dengue (pronounced den-gee) fever. It was not fun at all. Also, for months afterward, I still had effects from the fever, I.e. Hair falling out, skin peeling from hands and feet, serious depression, and difficulty thinking called “dengue brain.” By months, I mean six months for many and the depression was there even after a year, and the brain fog even after that. I think malaria wasn’t as bad as dengue.
