Re: lying in state. It doesn’t necessarily mean there will be an open casket. I went to Reagan’s lying-in-state and it was closed. Could have been empty for all I know. But we’ll see. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out.
p.s. Am I the only person who thinks there was something wrong with no name’s left cheek? For years it has looked like he had a tumor.
Actually, I guess you’re right. They don’t have open caskets at lying ins. Not that I can ever recall. Guess I had it confused with when the Pope lies in state. They keep him literally on a slab of ice.
