Congratulations to Republican, Troy Balderson, who has won the Special Election in the 12thCD, Ohio. The Trump supported Balderson, joined a bevy of other Republican "Mid-Term" Primary winners in Ohio, MIchigan, Kansas & Missouri. The Democrat Party, wildly hailed, "Blue Wave" has yet to surface.
Turnout of course is the official poll. But Balderson was ahead by 9-11 points in June. It almost evaporated by turnout.
If it energized voters, then why was he ahead between 9 and 11 points in June only to see it evaporate by election day?
Unlike the election in Minnesota, in which Al Franken was declared the winner after a sufficient number of recounts, has the Democrat challenger finally conceded?
It ain’t over until we have the concession, folks, and even then they won’t stay dead.
In Florida, Bill Nelson is saying that the Russians hacked the Secretary of State computers...I know I’m a teen, but why would a totalarian state like Russia want Trump and Rick Scott who aren’t totalarians?

Also as someone noted above, Balderson was practically hand-picked by RINO Kasich precisely because Balderson would be the type, like Kasich himself, to run away from Trump.
You think the general election was close here? Check the Republican primary result, which Balderson won by barely 100 votes out of nearly 70,000 cast. I don't know the other candidates very well, but -- call it a hunch -- I'll wager they split the pro-Trump vote and let this Balderson milquetoast squeak through to a win.
It's pretty clear that he did a poor job of consolidating the support of the voters who went for others in the primary, probably because they were uninspired by his tepid support (if any) for the President; maybe that explains the drop in the polls after June? And yet that same President got his ass out there to drag Balderson barely across the finish line.

Great, now he can get to Congress and not keep his promises like the rest of them. Honestly, this was just about that night and stopping the talking heads. It’s not going to matter for now. If the Repukes keep the house the Dems are REALLY going to be screwed. Can they run two cycles in a row on impeachment and Trump hatred if they lose the first cycle? Winning at this point is only about supporting Trump as I have no idea what the Repukes OR the Dems stand for other than power for themselves.

The candidate which lost to squishy Balderson in the R primary was a woman named Melanie Leneghan, an attractive candidate who was endorsed by pro-life and pro-gun organizations, and solid conservative Congressman Jim Jordan (and Mark Meadows) AND she ran an aggressively pro-Trump campaign, sounding very similar to him on the important issues.
Seeing as how she lost by so little, one wonders if the RINOs just happened to “find” a few extra votes for their puppet candidate? You can bet if Melanie had won, Kasich & co. would have been front and center..... campaigning for the Democrat.
Balderson will kill Danny Boy in November.Take it to the bank.

I don’t doubt it; this is still a Republican district after all.
Balderson might even go so far as to cast some conservative votes and try to make amends with the true base of the party (and his district). I’m not counting on that part of it happening, but it could. If he proves himself to be more of a RINO than his district warrants, which I think is the more likely outcome, there’s always the 2020 primary.
I guess I was saying that I don’t care what Trump did 20 or thirty years ago. All I know is Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton and the entire Democrat Party almost killed off this country. If Clinton had won, at the end of her eight years you would not recognize the once great American nation.
