Rush plays a Pretenders’ song every day he’s on the air, and they don’t like it.

I recall Rush once saying that he pays about $40,000 per year in royalties and Chrissie Hynde said the money is given to charity.

Rush explained his use of that song in this way: Christie Hynde said her Parents are Republicans, so she wasn’t going to complain about him using the song.

I think that he agreed to make a donation to some charity of their choosing as a form of payment. That song is probably heard by more people than any other song in their repertory.
