This is what jumps out at me from Todd A. Madison’s LinkedIn account:
Assistant Attaché and Interim-Attaché Agency Head of Country
Dates EmployedOct 2004 Oct 2008 Employment Duration4 yrs 1 mo
LocationUnited Kingdom and Western Europe
Represented the agency in seven countries in Western Europe and established relationships with host country law enforcement - head of agency. Collaborated with US Embassy Diplomatic Community on a myriad of issues and insured that the mission of the agency was unimpeded.
-Developed working relationships with foreign law enforcement and intelligence heads of agencies in the furtherance of the cyber investigative initiative of the agency. This resulted in approximately 15 international investigations in the apprehension of numerous persons operating in criminal networks involved with approximately 2.2 million dollars in fraud and network intrusions. The establishment of one relationship flourished into an agency personnel being permanently based with a foreign agency.
He was sent to make connections in the UK.
I would venture to say that it was more like a "side of pork".
With apologies to Bacon, of course.
Also, Madison started out as a cop specializing in auto incidents and counterfeiting.
He was suddenly brought to the Secret Service (did the Clintons need someone who knew everything about car crashes?).
He then became a Cyber expert and was stationed in the UK for four years.
They brought him up from obscurity and groomed him to become an expert in the myriad was they do their crimes.
True - I don’t doubt all that I guess I was just looking at it from all angles.
