Welcome
14 pounds. ;)
This whole hoohah over military tribunals:
Consider that taken as a whole, the body of the discussion is about tribunals or civilian courts ...
... when there appears to be more than a sufficient number of potential defendants in both categories.
We even know the names of the more conspicuous candidates for civilian trials.
What I don’t recall are the names of the military coup participants.
You know there’s more than one.
Consider what knowledge Admiral Rogers had access to at the time of his meeting in Tromp Tower.
On the National Emergency conundrum:
During the Clinton years at least several 56k modems were sacrificed to this same discussion. The intricacies of the gold fringe on the flag in every civilian courtroom was explored, baud by baud.
Bob Ireland ...
(shout out to Bob - long time no see)
... was around (pre 11/28/1997) for those times and may remember them. At the time the concern was that Clinton would use an existing national emergency declaration to declare martial law for some reason or other.
Didn’t happen.
However, as I recall, there was a pathway he could have used, but the overall circumstances and the mood of the public, albeit poisonous, did not allow the stretch.
By the way, Bob? Do you remember the consensus thinking, or were we as bad as the current crowd? :)
I believe the list we are seeing is all federal. But as I mentioned, this could mean multiple indictments on the same individual so we should not expect 40,000 people to go to court.
welcome! You sound like our kinda guy!
In the vernacular of the drug trade, “88 keys”.
I’m getting nervous watching what’s going on, on Fox -
Looks like the pot is coming to a boil?
Is this Q’s 10 days ?
Thank Q Jamie and Welcome to the FR Q thread!
So...what would a revolution look like? Certainly it would involve us leaving our homes and congregating somewhere and doing what?
I would reccomend New York City. Why that scary place? Seems the chief of police wants to offer a $500 reward to just general folks who help the police when an officer is in trouble and could use another pair of hands. Legislation is being considered to put this under Good Samaritan rules.
So, we pick a weekend when Antifag is planning something (aside: have you noticed those goons only work on the weekend? They’re too busy getting baked all week...and collection their paychecks). And then we go and “help the police”. Wait, I’ve already thought about it....helpers will not be allowed to go lethal force. That’s just too much liability.
Whatcha think?
(I’m cleaning and mowing today and getting SO MAD!)
Welcome. Please register with Bagster, he’s our welcoming/screening committee.
P.S. Ignore those Troll Motels, they’re not for you!
Me too! I am very po’d today!
What is going on—for the office bound?

Michael Cohen Purchases New York City Apartment for $6.7 Million
As I was falling asleep last night, I was contemplating re-issuing the Declaration and declaring myself and property a sovereign nation constituted under the original US Constitution and inviting all likeminded citizens to become part of the new United Nation of Self.
Then I fell asleep.
What would a revolution look like?
Galt.
Thank you for that very reasonable analysis. I’ll keep your explanation in mind as I try to reclaim whatever shred of patience I can find. I don’t mind admitting that it’s in very short supply. Don’t much like having smoke blown up my keister even when folks I respect may be doing it for altruistic reasons.
Bonus points to the first poster that reminds us of the Oath every military officer swears, and that retired and former officers can be recalled to active duty ...
... to serve at the pleasure of the President ...
... on a Courts Martial panel, or as the defendant.
Welcome.
Any relation to that big-mouth, summarily humiliated, skier Lindsey?
That would qualify as:
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
Let's do this again with a larger number.
