I don't understand this Brennen security clearance thing.
When I retired from a major corporation a few years back, they...
1. Took my ID/access card.
2. Took my office keys.
3. Took my file cabinet keys.
4. Took their smart phone.
5. Took their laptop computer.
6. Took their desktop computer.
7. Cancelled all computer access and passwords.
8. Cancelled all club and association memberships.
9. Cancelled their VPN to my home.
10. Cancelled all online subscriptions and networking accounts.
11. ...and if I had had a company car, they would have taken that.
What was my reaction? I accepted it ALL with grace and understanding, because:
I AM NO LONGER EMPLOYED BY THAT COMPANY !!
Is that so hard to comprehend?
He’s Special don’t you know . Needs it so he can call a bud in Government to find out stuff for CNN
Yep.
I posted this on another thread, but to repeat:
Back when I had a security clearance (TS with assorted alphabet nonsense), normal people needed both a clearance and need-to-know in order to access classified material. If the Deep State still followed the rules that productive Americans used to follow, need-to-know would automatically terminate when employment ended. All of these has-beens, from Brennan to Hillary, should be denied access to classified material, whether or not their clearance is terminated, because they no longer have a professional need to know.
You are 100% right. I’ve been startled ever since the Deep State went full force anti-Trump that these people retain access to classified material. Comey, Brennan, and every other has-been should lose their access to classified material. If access is not required as a government employee or as a contractor working on a government budget, they should not have access to classified material. Certainly political commentator is not a job that justifies access to classified material.
He needs to be able to leak classified info to CNN or he’s no longer important to them.
In my opinion, whenever a person leaves the service of our country, be it military, intelligence, state or otherwise, the security clearances they have been awarded should be withdrawn as was mine when I left the military.
It doesnt matter if you are of the highest rank or the lowest order, it should be withdrawn and if a clearance is needed in your future, you should have to reapply...PERIOD...
What I really want to know is does that security clearance grant him (and the others) access to current information - is he able to log on and find out anything he wants? And if not why does he care?
This whole thing doesn’t quite make sense to me. That Mudd nutcase went ballistic at the thought of losing his clearance but I thought he said he consulted for free...so again..this isn’t making sense.
How do they monetize it if they don’t have current information?
Security Clearance in the DC swamp is seen a “Currency” of the Deep State.
Trump just cut one person’s illegitimate funding, and the rest are scared as hell he will cut theirs too
It isn’t just Brennen... It is the entire lot of them.
They apparently granted themselves privileges for life so that they can run a back door government.
Brennan works for MSNBC, and if he actually NEEDS the security clearance to do his job, then doesn’t that mean that MSNBC is actually a government agency????
Brennan has a “right” to a security clearance for life. I heard it on CNN.
But you don't understand how the nevertrump mind works. Brennan hates Trump. Media hates Trump. Media wants Brennan to continue to sound like he has official credentials and actually knows something, when he really doesn't. They can't say that, obviously. Therefore we have yet another Fake News story that Trump has somehow violated Brennan's rights by revoking his clearance.
WTF is Brennen, Rice, Clapper and Comey doing out of jail?
-—I didn’t understand it way back starting with “Sandy” Berger-(Clinton lackey)-still having one when he stole material from the National Archives-—and got a slap on the wrist-—
It’s like a credential. Imagine a doctor who loses his license to practice, no one would hire him for consultation, but if he still had it, it opens many possibilities.
I’m appalled that people are allowed to keep security clearance. This is news to me. When I retired I had to sign a “non-compete” agreement (as part of the NDA) so that I would not work for a competitor to my company. I signed. What the heck...I was retiring. I am now dedicated to making that little white ball go straight.
My opinion is that anyone who receives a paycheck from any media organization including social media should have their security clearances revoked.
There should have been a monitoring program in place for all clearances issued, that regularly checked on the status of the people holding them. You don't give out security clearances like candy, and not hold someone or some department head responsible for reviewing them regularly. I'm assuming there was a monitoring program, and someone was supposed to be doing it, but then the swamp is deep, and wide.
It reminds me of the movie Dave where the Chief of Staff goes rogue, or maybe Burt Lancaster in 7 Days in May.
