Can’t we all agree on common sense legislation to ban hot cars?

With some creative programing, electronics and mechanical work, cars could someday baby sit/guard our kids anywhere and for extended periods. Get to work, leave the kid in the car. The car's onboard sensors and computer will sense the presence of a living being in the car. Figure out what it is and care for it accordingly. After a full day at work, return, disarm the car and find your baby all happy and watching videos of the Wiggles. This could save Tesla...

Right. All of this hand ringing and punitive attitude could cause more problems than solutions. It will be technology that ends up saving lives.

I know someone who left their kid in a car with closed windows on a hot day while in my driveway!
