I saw a picture of the Pope being presented with a new pair of shoes very similar to those by, I think, the shoe maker.

Benedict's red shoes were made by a local family of cobblers, they were not by Prada, that was a media lie. As you know, the Pope's red shoes are a longstanding part of papal attire signifying that he walks in the blood of martyrs and is willing to give his life for Christ.

As with many Catholic symbols, the enemy usurps and makes them vile.

You are correct - I was aware of the Papal practice to wear red shoes for holy reasons.

I agree that the evil ones are all about corrupting anything and everything that can be considered Good.
