Seriously — to get rid of hiccups, take your middle finger and index finger of each hand, and press them firmly into the very front of your temples, just around the corner, so to speak from the borders of your forehead, just outside the eyebrows. (For some, just above the eyebrows works better.)

How interesting! I really DID have the hiccups today, and finally they did go away. However, I had not heard of that remedy. I’ll definitely put that on the fridge to consult the next time! The one that usually works for me is a teaspoon of sugar held in the mouth. I didn’t end up needing it today. I’m so glad to know about this other. Thanks!

A bit of sugar seems to somehow influence the nerves involved in a hiccup, as well. Has always worked for me. Half a teaspoon or some other source of sugar seems to work, for me.
