They have no chef and they cook for themselves, often together. They make their own yogurt. On this summer morning, Rosalynn mixes pancake batter and sprinkles in blueberries grown on their land. Carter cooks them on the griddle. Then he does the dishes.

All that and claiming to be a born again Christian. “You shall know them by their works.” Matt. 7:16.
Gave up the neutron bomb thinking the Soviets would want to work with us.
Just read what the Secret Service thought of Carter. They despised him!
That’s your measure of the man. Ask the people who worked for him what he was like.
2000 was the first election I could vote in.
I refused to talk to my father for 6 months after as he didnt vote in the election. As far as was concerned but Bush and Gore were one in the same.
I was a young, naive fool who stupidly ignored the warnings of my father, the smartest person Ive ever known. He had a long memory of the Bush clan - including Poppy Bushs despicable smearing of Reagan in the 80 primaries, his suspicious behaviour around the timings of JFKs murder and the attempted hit on The Gipper AND him being the first to publically call for a NWO.
The full extent of the Bush crimes is not known and sadly I dont think it will be known in any of our lifetimes. I strongly suspect though, that future generations will regard the Bush clan as the most evil human beings the Republic has ever known. And yes, I include the Clintons in that.
I have never been a fan of Mr. Carter’s politics. But unlike the vast majority of modern Democrats, I have never suspected him of personal corruption or gross personal immorality. His presidency was a disaster. But in some respects I think he has shown some class and dignity in his retirement. His work for Habitat for Humanity was very laudable and I am glad he has remained well grounded living among ordinary folk.
Carter wakes up every day, kisses a photo of Obama, and dances around the house yelling “I’m Not The Worst Anymore!!!”
According to unnamed sources, that is...
He may shun publicity now, but he was a liar and incompetent.
He has a lot to be modest about.
I used to work with a girl whose Father was a Secret Service agent. He worked in Plains. She never said anything about Carter tho.
Most every agent that has talked about Carter has had nothing good to say about how he treated “the help”.
Carter was a man of cowardice and indecision. He fell before the integrity and character of Reagan.
Good people often make bad leaders. From everything I have read, he is good people.
But a horrendous leader.
I can’t help but admire Jimmy and Rosalyn for their spartan lifestyles, their desire to not rob the taxpayers, their moral life, their commitment to each other, their humility, Habitat for Humanity and others I am sure.
But, as a President of the United States he was rather akin to putting a 10 year old in the pilot seat of a 747 Airliner over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at 40,000 feet.
Only Obama was worse. Nobody will ever exceed Obama.
Me too! I also think of 52 American hostages spending over a year in captivity in Iran and America being made a laughing stock on the world stage.
Turn the thermostat down and put on a sweater....he failed HORRIBLY in every aspect of our Presidency . I was in mid teens with him and when I was old enough I cast my first presidential ballot for Ronald Reagan .....

Churchill: There is less there than meets the eye. There are quite a few spurious Churchill quotes about Attlee, but this would not be one of them.
Truman: He seems a modest sort of fellow.
Churchill: Hes got a lot to be modest about.
The Bernie Sanders of his day?
