More than one million pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia, days before the kingdom prepares to host its mammoth annual Hajj pilgrimage, according to state media.

If I'm challenged at any point while in Saudi I'll say that I'm a new convert.

You'd have to show a passport. You risk your death if discovered to be a false actor. The logistics of what you propose would not be worth the considerable risk.

...but, Sir Richard Francis Burton managed to make the Haj to both Mecca and Medina in disguise and published a book about that journey.

But that was before electronic chip passports and ID cards, facial recognition technology and viral social media lynchings.

I'd say this makes it a good time of year to visit Disney World/Disneyland. I saw plenty of Muslims at Disneyland a few weeks ago, and it wasn't as crowded as I feared it would be.

Or, you could just go to the Walmart in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside DC to have an "ROP lite" experience.
