I'm in the school that says the Whidby Island (WI) event is the missile intended by Q in recent Q-drop, "think missile". No missile was fired by F-15s or from the Island as defense.
The WI missile launch LOCATION was found by GEO-Tag in the metadata; GPS and geometric positioning (think countering artillery positioning) likely traced it back to its launch-point.

Or, maybe that the missile launch wasn’t supposed to be photographed and the DS effed up?
