Wow, that is an incredible time. Bellof’s record stood for 35 years. Tragically, Bellof was killed in a racing accident just after setting the Neubugring record. I think his accident was in a Porsche 956 at Spa, Belgium.

The fact they get 710hp out of a V4 engine is incredible too. Of course, it’s probably shot at the end of the race.

***HO-LEE-CHIT*** Never in r/l but I have raced that track quite a bit on Forza 5,6 and 7 (most lifelike sim) and I couldn’t even imagine a sub-6:30 time on that track.

I want to see how a 2018 model Formula One race car does on this same lap. I have my doubts it could beat the 919 Evo’s time, given the higher top speed of the 919 Evo.
